Brief Outline of Job Responsibilities:
v Keeps project management
advised of the current cost status of all projects.
v Analyzes and controls costs,
maintaining an orderly system of records and reports, measuring the progress of
work accomplished, and forecasting the total cost incurred against the initial
estimate for each project.
v Analyzes and checks work and
costs of a project on an ongoing basis and periodically prepares revised
estimates and job cost reports.
v Measures the progress of
projects and forecasts the actual cost of projects in relation to what the
client has initially approved as the project cost.
v Implements cost engineering
policies and procedures for use to efficiently produce project-related cost
reports.
v Utilizes cost control and
other computer software to prepare revised estimates and project cost reports.
v Classifies accounts and
allocates cost coding and distribution, throughout the project, liaising with
Finance and Accounting Departments' personnel as directed.
v Prepares regular and ad hoc
cost control documents and reports, that are designed to facilitate readily
understood and comprehensive project data.
v Evaluate deviation from
original estimates of projects and incorporate them into a revised budget as
specified by Senior Management, and keep track of extra items to be billed to
the client.
v Undertakes similar or related
tasks as assigned, such as participating in bid preparation and tender
analysis, estimating, and planning tasks as directed by Senior Management.
Job Requirements:
v B.S. degree: in Engineering with an accounting minor.
v Minimum Experience: 4 years of experience in engineering with a
cost engineering background. Formalized training in cost engineering
would be an advantage.
v Industry Type: Oil & Gas / Petrochemical/contracting company
managing shutdown projects.
v Good communication Skills in
English & Arabic.
v Certificates: Primavera/MS Projects.
v Proficient in MS Office.
